A database ID is the unique identifier of a database you have created in Notion.
When setting up Notion integrations in automation tools like Zapier, Make, or Apple Shortcuts, you may need to input your database ID.
Follow the steps below to retrieve your database ID.
1. Navigate to the source database
You first need to open the database page you want to connect to.
However, the database you are looking at could either be the source database or a linked view of that database.
To check, tap on the view name of the database and select “Open source database” if it exists. This indicates that you’re previously viewing a linked view of your database.

If you are already on the source database, you will not see this option. Instead, you just need to open the view as a full page.

2. Get the database URL
On the source database page, click the share button in the top right corner, then copy the page link.

Retrieve the Database ID
Paste the link in a private space, then identify the Database ID from the string of characters in the URL between “/” and “?”.
