The iPad sits between a computer and a phone, making it a versatile and portable device for both entertainment and work.
Today, I’d like to share a few iPad accessories that have made my iPad more useful and enjoyable as my daily companion.
For context, I use the iPad mini 7, which I particularly appreciate for its compact size and lightweight design.
Matte Screen Protector

I chose a matte screen protector to minimize glare and reflections, making screens easier to see in bright light and outdoors.
While it’s still not comparable to e-ink devices like the Kindle, it improves the comfort of reading on the iPad.
Besides that, I also appreciate the smoother touch and swipe experience it provides to your device’s screen.
However, the only downside that convinces most people to choose otherwise is the reduction in screen clarity. Personally, I don’t mind it, but it could be a significant drawback for some, especially those with larger iPads that have better displays.
I don't have specific brands to recommend, but you can likely find one on Amazon or a similar site.
MOFT Dynamic Folio

I picked up the Dynamic Folio by MOFT as my iPad case.
MOFT is a company known for making origami-inspired accessories, with my favorite being the tripod stand for phones.
The Dynamic Folio offers over 20 different angles and allows you to switch between portrait and landscape mode, catering to various tasks such as writing, reading, and sketching.
I don’t find myself using many different angles, and I usually switch between just three options. My favorite option is the Floating Mode, which elevates the device to a better viewing and interaction height.
I must admit that I occasionally remove the iPad case and use it without it, particularly when I’m lounging on the couch. The iPad mini is just lightweight and comfortable to hold without the need for a case or stand to prop it up.
Apple Pencil

Apple Pencil is an essential accessory, especially if you’re purchasing an iPad for drawing, note-taking, and annotating documents.
I’m not an everyday user of the Apple Pencil, but it proves useful when I need it.
Since I began working on iOS apps, I downloaded an app called Mockups. This app allows me to sketch out early drafts and ideas while designing screens for the apps. That’s when the Apple Pencil becomes indispensable for me.
Other times, I use the Apple Pencil just for greater precision and enjoyment, such as during photo editing or while highlighting text in my reading material.
Logitech Keys-To-Go 2

Keys-To-Go 2 is a super slim and lightweight keyboard that you can easily carry anywhere.
This is an ideal keyboard for students and professionals who work on their tablets in cafes or libraries. It’s also an excellent companion for those who prefer to prop up or distance their laptop.
I personally appreciate the thoughtful addition of a cover to protect keys, which also makes it easier to slide them into your bag.
A small note to keep in mind is that instead of using rechargeable batteries like most devices these days, the keyboard is powered by CR2032 batteries. On the positive side, the device boasts a battery life of up to 36 months, which is equivalent to 3 years.
